by James R. Teal
The Life of Jimmy was written from what the author remembers of his childhood. He was brought up on a seventy-three-acre farm in Texas. All five of his brothers and sisters would gather around the breakfast table each and every morning and night before bed.
When he was small, he would follow his dad everywhere he went if he could take him. That is how he learned so much from his daddy. His daddy carried his Bible with him everywhere he went. He taught the author about the prophet Enoch.
Enoch lived 365 years here on Earth. Then God took him to heaven without dying. God assigned an angel with him who showed Enoch everything, and they wrote it down. Enoch had the knowledge of creative writing, math, English, reading, and the zodiac signs. He was the seventh-oldest man behind Adam.
Enoch was Methuselah's father. He married Daniel's daughter. He counted the stars and named them one by one. He was one of the first and best prophets on Earth. When Enoch went to heaven, he was a messenger for God. He gave the angels their messages from God.
The author feels it was a blessing to be raised in a Godly home. Now as he has strayed away, the ways of this world have brought him back.
